Kids of America Ambassador Program Reaches Out to Underprivileged Children

Children and teenage students from the Scottsdale-based Arizona Angels Studio are launching the “Kids of America” Ambassador program, a community outreach program designed to teach underprivileged children how to dance. The program will target child-based organizations and underprivileged schools.

Inspired by the “Kids of America” team, who just performed at the White House, the directors of the Arizona Angels Studio will provide a fun free dance class for children who cannot afford to enroll at a dance studio.

“There’s just something about children helping other children. I am very proud of my students for wanting to do this,” remarked Amy Leroy-Gelb, founder and owner of the Arizona Angels Studio.

Gelb adds, “Our goal is to have 10 Ambassadors who will teach five workshops each. We will leave a CD and video tape at each school, so the children can practice. At the end of the year, we will host a picnic or half-time show, where all the children will perform together.”

Football Fans Get Decorating Ideas for NFL Logo Bedding

The end of summer signals the beginning of football season, which is the most important sports season for many Americans. The Super Bowl, the culmination of NFL play, is regularly one of the most-watched programs on television.

Of course, the biggest piece of any bedroom is the bed, and that’s what will draw attention first. According to Brobst, NFL bedding is the easiest way to add team spirit to a room.

“The bedding is going to be the centerpiece of the room, which means it has to tie in the rest of it together,” Brobst said. “With NFL team logo bedding, you’ve got the colors in the bed that you’ve used in the rest of the room. LED Source Illuminates Raymond James Stadium

With only two fixtures required to flood each 40 by 80 foot bay, the NFL’s lighting designer, C. Dall Brown chose the ColorReach because quite literally, NO other LED fixture currently available would even come close to achieving that.

The ColorReach units are capable of projecting over 500 feet using only 22,000 watts total electricity. Mounted on a concrete cross beam from within the stadium, the fixtures project light onto the backside of the stadium’s upper 30 rows, making the Raymond James Stadium visible from the air and from multiple viewpoints across the city of Tampa. This feat would normally require well over 100,000 watts of power and still wouldn’t offer the color and brilliance of the ColorReach package. By using LED lighting, the NFL is achieving their goal of making the event as “green” as possible.

For sporting venues throughout the nation, or really anything that needs brilliant light and especially color, the ColorReach offers a truly unique package of Color, Power and Energy Efficiency. Putting out more than 5200 Lumens, the 290 watt LED ColorReach equals incandescent or discharge lamp sources that would require 4 times the power consumption – 1,600 watts each – and gels to produce the colored lighting. Instead, the stadium will be illuminated in a smart and sustainable way. Although this installation is temporary, these ColorReach LED lights would operate silently, efficiently, and without problem for up to 20 years!
