Artist Mark Durham Takes MAD Studio Into The West

Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) April 5, 2007

Nationally renowned pop artist Mark Durham and his family have relocated to the beautiful city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Known for its rich cultural heritage and ambiance, Santa Fe is the third largest art market in the United States, and now the home of America’s most unique pet portraits and pop art prints.

Why the sudden change? “My wife was offered a great opportunity to move here, and with the art community being what it is, we thought, why not? We miss North Carolina terribly, but love the culture here in Santa Fe,” says Durham.

So what is Mark doing to establish himself in New Mexico? “I have been selling on a national level for some time now, and have my website http://www.markdurhamstudio.com set up to sell my portraits, cat and dog prints, and other pieces of art. I hope to do some local shows here, but will continue to sell across the US,” claims Mark.

What’s new on the MAD Studio website? An entire new line of prints for kids. Dog and cat prints as usual, but the MAD artist now also offers hippos, lions and even a MAD ark. Mark had a baby in the last year, so naturally a children’s line of whimsical portraits has cropped up. See the junior section in the MAD Print Gallery.

A fun addition to the dog portrait line is a print painted for Carolina Panther’s player Dan Morgan. Wearing his jersey #55, Dan’s dog Cane is also holding a football and looks ready to play as he poses for his MAD Studio portrait debut.

Mark still paints people’s cats and dogs. “I still love to paint people’s pets! There is usually a bit of a wait, so get me your information in plenty of time so that I can get your dog or cat portrait ready for whatever big occasion you have coming up,” says Durham. You can find out all you need to know about Mark’s portrait work on his website.

Why MAD? Those are actually Mark’s initials. Though a behind the scenes kind of guy, Mark’s artwork is making headlines. National magazines and television, including Southern Living Magazine and Southern Living Presents, have featured Mark and his head turning artwork. USA Weekend Magazine dubbed Mark, “… the next Andy Warhol.” His celebrity clients include NFL players Dan Morgan and Will Witherspoon, along with NASCAR legend Ernie Irvan.

Only Two Weeks Left to Bid in Online Auction of Charlotte “Live and Work” Condos

Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) October 16, 2008

Bidders still have a chance to purchase a home in one of America’s most prosperous cities according to Time magazine–but the deadline is approaching soon. The auction of 14 “Live and Work” condos by LFC Group of Companies, on its residential real estate website FRE.com (http://www.FRE.com/281R6), ends October 30.

Charlotte’s real estate market has suffered comparably less than markets across the nation, maintaining a steady rate of sales. To go the extra mile and attract buyers from all over North Carolina and beyond, one developer has strengthened the appeal of his unique product by utilizing LFC’s innovative online auction format. Buyers from anywhere can research and bid on properties from the comfort and convenience of their own computer.

There has already been a great deal of interest in The Abbott tri-level condos, which is no surprise considering that the lowest minimum bids, reduced from $ 269,000, now start at an incredibly low $ 169,000 for properties valued in the high $ 400,000s. One home even comes fully-furnished.

The contemporary appearance of The Abbot Professional Condos complements the uniquely designed layout of each model, which features a ground floor built to accommodate a variety of uses, including home office or studio. The mix of quaint and modern design that sets the South End District apart from the rest of the city is echoed in the industrial style brick exterior and the open, loft-style interior. Affording residents +/-1700 square feet of space inside, the condos offer so much more with the convenient and attractive amenities right outside in the South End District.

“Our client is incredibly proactive in choosing to auction these properties online,” states Kelly Lovegrove, Director of Operations for LFC Group of Companies. “In these times, with the market the way it is, it is important for sellers to get the news out about their products to as many people possible and make it easy for buyers to purchase conveniently and at a good price.”

Charlotte boasts a strong business community, promising a wealth of opportunity even in bleaker times. The Abbott’s location, close to the City Center and within easy access to the whole of Charlotte via the newly built light rail system, gives residents access to the heart of the city’s thriving business, arts, and entertainment industries. For sports fans, the city boasts the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Bobcats, as well as a NASCAR race track and soon the NASCAR Hall of Fame

Interested parties should visit http://www.FRE.com/281R6 before October 30 for more information, important documents, and photos of The Abbott condos.
