Reading Festival Tops Summer Season Chart

(PRWEB) June 10, 2008

The Reading and Leeds festival is the most popular event on this year’s summer social calendar according to figures released today by [viagogo. The August Bank Holiday favourite tops the viagogo Summer Season Top 20, which ranks this summer’s key outdoor dates in terms of the number of tickets sold on the secondary market. In a year when Glastonbury has been beset with problems and failed to sell-out, Reading has overtaken and claimed the festival crown.

Summer music festivals dominate the top 5 with heavyweights like V Festival, T in the Park and Isle of Wight remaining the biggest players despite increasing competition from smaller, boutique festivals. The enduring appeal of Radiohead is seen by their appearance at number 3 for their June dates in Victoria Park.

The top sporting event this summer on the secondary market is Royal Ascot, particularly Ladies Day, when focus switches from racing to fashion, and the annual hat parade! England’s Test Series against South Africa is the next biggest draw for fans wanting to mix high quality sport with some serious socialising. Following close behind are perennial summer favourites, Wimbledon and The British Grand Prix.

Further down the list are events as diverse as Hard Rock Calling, this year featuring Eric Clapton and The Police, The Summer Series at Somerset House and Carmen at the Glyndenbourne Festival. It should be a great summer of live music and sport, so grab the champers and strawberries and cream and enjoy the new Summer Season!

Eric Baker, CEO of viagogo said, “This summer is promising to be an exciting one for live sport and music. This list proves that events like Reading, V Festival and T in the Park now define the Summer Season as much as more traditional English social events like Royal Ascot, Wimbledon and the Lord’s Test.”

Tickets for all these events and more are available on http://www.viagogo.co.uk.

About viagogo

viagogo is Europe’s leading ticket exchange that allows people to buy and sell live event tickets in a safe and 100% guaranteed way. viagogo is bringing efficiency and transparency to what has traditionally been a murky marketplace. By managing payment and delivery, viagogo guarantees that buyers will receive their tickets and sellers will receive payment. For this service, viagogo takes a commission which is a percentage of each exchange.

viagogo was launched in August 2006 with landmark deals to become the official secondary ticketing partner of two of the leading English football clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, making it the only way of legally re-selling tickets to these clubs, due to the special laws in England. Similar partnerships followed with German giants Bayern Munich, Everton, Portsmouth, Hearts and leading rugby clubs, Leicester Tigers and London Wasps.

In August 2007, viagogo launched operations in the U.S. with an exclusive partnership with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

Deals followed with the likes of the Independent and Lastminute.com and Warner Music International became the first music label to partner with a secondary ticketing company. A deal between viagogo and Live Nation in the Netherlands was the first ever partnership between a secondary ticketing company and a music promotion company. viagogo pioneered the first charity auctions, working directly with music artists such as James Blunt and Peter Gabriel.

In May 2008, viagogo struck a partnership with the biggest female recording artist in the world. It became the official premium and secondary ticketing partner for Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet European tour. This is the first time an artist has signed a deal of this kind, signalling a dramatic shift for both the recording and ticketing industries and proving viagogo to be a true market leader.

viagogo now provides fans with its safe, secure exchange in the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands and the US. Further expansion across Europe will follow in the near future.

viagogo was set up by Eric Baker, the co-founder of StubHub.com, the leading online secondary ticketing company in the US that was acquired in March 2007 by eBay for $ 307m.

Brown Memorial A.M.E. Church Tackles Age Old Germ Issue with 21st Century Technology

Washington, D.C (PRWEB) February 12, 2009

Spring is hanging in the wings, but right now, it’s winter and with winter, winds. The winds seem to not only blow in colder weather but also appear to attack adults and children with coughs and runny noses. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, says that during a typical year individuals in the United States suffer from approximately 1 billion colds (typically occurring in fall and winter) and 35-50 million cases of the flu (typically occurring from November to March).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) states that Hand-washing is one of the simplest ways to help reduce the threat of foodborne illness. It is best to wash your hands with soap and clean running water for 20 seconds. However, when soap and clean water are not available, FSIS recommends using disposable towelettes or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer product to clean your hands. Alcohol-based products significantly reduce the number of germs on the skin and are fast acting.

Brown Memorial A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Henry Y. White has implemented the used of a “Hand Sanitizing Station” for members of its congregation to use before taking communion and at food events held at the church. “We are taking steps to prevent infection and to educate our members,” said Pastor White. Plans to help prevent infection among the members include:

Bill Glass Champions for Life Joins Energy Savings Crusade

Grapevine, TX (PRWEB) August 7, 2009

Ideal Impact, Inc. (http://www.idealimpactinc.com) made another step towards its goal of generating $ 1 billion for Christian ministry purposes: the signing of Bill Glass Champions For Life (http://www.billglasscfl.org) to an energy savings contract. Since its founding March 2009, Ideal Impact has also implemented energy savings contracts with Church at the Cross and Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, both in Grapevine.

“Energy savings is a means to an end,” states Ideal Impact CEO Wes McDaniel, who estimates his company will generate nearly $ 1.4 million of savings during the next 15 years for these three customers. “Reducing operational costs and lowering utility expenses are often overlooked and underestimated ways to recoup budget funds and spend on more important needs.”

The three-year Active Revenue Creation contract estimates Bill Glass Champions For Life administrative facility, which encompasses approximately 10,000 square feet, will save $ 2,265 annually through the implementation of a customized energy plan, as well as ongoing energy education training for the staff. Projected savings over a 15-year period is approximately $ 52,850. Most significantly, the contract required no upfront costs and is a positive cash flow project.

Bill Glass Champions for Life, founded in 1969, is a national and international ministry, with a large focus on prison ministry across the United States. Founder Bill Glass was a consensus All American football player at Baylor and played in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.

“Bill Glass Champions for Life appreciates the opportunity to partner with Ideal Impact in an effort to reduce energy expense for the ministry. The funds saved will be used to take the good news of Jesus Christ to ‘the least of these’ in prisons, juvenile facilities and schools across America and around the world,” states James Subers, chief executive officer for Bill Glass’ Champions for Life. “This venture is especially meaningful as Wes McDaniel and Boyne McHargue (Ideal Impact’s sales director) are teammates with Champions for Life and share the gospel in the prisons during our Weekend of Champions and Day of Champions events.”

Ideal Impact works with churches, schools, universities and commercial buildings in Texas with a minimum annual energy bill of $ 50,000. Led by a team of experienced professionals in the energy savings industry, Ideal Impact offers energy solutions for both buildings and personnel:

o Active Revenue Creation: Utilizing a five-step process, a customized plan is developed that reduces energy consumption while maintaining comfort. A positive cash flow from the start, there are no up front costs or lease-purchase/ loan to repay.

o Managing Energy Efficiency Services: Rising energy costs, combined with aging facilities and outdated equipment for many organizations, the opportunities to save energy and money are abundant. Comprehensive or individual energy conservation measures – including control systems and lighting retrofits – can be implemented quickly.

o Reducing Energy Costs: By implementing energy reduction solutions and energy education programs, we teach building personnel and occupants to become energy smart and environmentally aware.

Founded March 2, 2009, Ideal Impact, Inc. generates revenue through energy savings for churches, schools, universities and commercial buildings throughout Texas. Ideal Impact’s well-defined mission is to help commercial businesses, public entities and worship facilities reduce energy consumption and create a new revenue source; to help clients use resources wisely and efficiently; and to have a positive impact on the environment. The company’s corporate office is located at 1133 South Main Street in downtown Grapevine. For more information call (817) 251-8498 or visit http://www.idealimpactinc.com.

Weight Loss Plan Helps News Anchor Lose 70 lbs. as Her Viewers Watch. Now She Reveals The Secret — “The Anderson Method”

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) October 21, 2009

“I finally succeeded in losing weight by using The Anderson Method,” said Linda Carson, WWSB’s weekend anchor. Using this weight loss plan, Carson stunned viewers by losing 70 lbs. before their eyes five years ago at ABC 7 in Sarasota, Florida. She has maintained her success ever since. The weight loss plan is explained in the new book “The Anderson Method” by William Anderson, LMHC (Two Harbors Press, $ 14.95), available at http://www.williamandersonlmhc.com .

Carson first made headlines as the first female news anchor in Atlanta, Georgia, and shared Super Bowl victories with her late husband Bud Carson, the famed NFL head coach of the Cleveland Browns and defensive coach of the Pittsburg Steelers. However, it is her success with weight loss, after years of failed attempts, that is her most prized victory.

“I had tried every diet and weight loss plan in existence, never getting very far, and always got worse until I was referred to The Anderson Method by my doctor, Mark Lupo” Carson said. “Years ago, at Hartford’s WTIC, Gayle King and I had a weight loss competition, complete with on-air weigh-ins. I can’t wait to tell her about my success.” Gayle King is now editor-at-large at O, the Oprah Magazine, and best friends with Oprah Winfrey.

Dr Mark Lupo, the endocrinologist who referred Carson to The Anderson Method, is also the president of the Academy of Clinical Thyroidologists. Lupo wrote the forward to the book, loves its no-nonsense approach based on sound science and medicine, but endorses it because it works. “I have seen more weight loss and lasting success with patients using The Anderson Method than with any other treatment. It is far superior to medications, diets or surgery– an entirely different approach.” The method is also embraced by experts in behavioral science. Dr Harris Stratyner, Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York and internationally recognized authority in behavioral medicine recently featured The Anderson Method on his WFAS radio show. Dr. Stratyner is also Vice President of Clinical Services at Caron Treatment Centers in New York.

The Anderson Method is neither a diet nor exercise plan. It is a psychotherapeutic solution, where the program creates a permanent change in a person’s automatic habitual behavior and thinking patterns. Developed by psychotherapist William Anderson, and provided in a structured training program by behavior therapists, it has been remarkably successful in helping people to lose weight and maintain that success. With his new book, Anderson hopes to spread his success to anyone who wants it, regardless of their location or economic status.

Anderson attributes the discovery of his unique methods to his own struggles trying to lose weight, as well as his training as a psychotherapist specializing in habit control and addictions. Anderson himself was a failed dieter, obese and morbidly obese for twenty-five years until he developed his methods and lost 140 lbs. over twenty years ago. He has maintained his ideal weight of 180 lbs. since, and devoted himself to teaching his unique methods to his clients and other therapists.

Carson is continually basking in her improved health and success now. She’s looking forward to another celebration this month at the University of West Georgia, where she will accept the Outstanding Alumni Award, and lead the school’s annual homecoming parade. “It’s a dream come true that I almost gave up on” she said. “I’m glad I kept hoping for a solution, because I finally found it.”

MLB Stadiums Step Up Their Green Game with Filta Fryer Management

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) November 2, 2010

The 2010 World Series in well underway between the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants and located throughout the teams? stadiums are concession stands, bistros and portable food carts all selling huge amounts of fried food. With the sellout crowds that come with the World Series, there is a lot of cooking oil that needs to be managed; either filtered and reused or recycled into biodiesel? enter Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions to help stadiums go green.

The company?s FiltaFry service provides an eco-friendly, comprehensive fryer management service, which includes oil filtration, fryer cleaning and staff training in best frying practices. Eventually, once the cooking oil has come to the end of its life, Filta can purify the oil and send it to be made into biodiesel.

With the service being offered through Franchise Owners in over 40 states, Filta provides its services to many other Major League Baseball teams including the Colorado Rockies (Coors Field) and the Kansas City Royals (Kauffman Stadium).

In addition to baseball, Filta is also helping basketball, football, and hockey teams go green. The Portland Trail Blazers (Rose Garden Arena), Cleveland Cavaliers (Quicken Loans Arena), Washington Redskins (FedEx Field), Cleveland Browns, Colorado Avalanche (Pepsi Center),Tampa Bay Lighting (St Pete Times Forum Arena), Atlanta Falcons (Georgia Dome) and the Minnesota Twins (Target Field) and are all benefitting from Filta?s offerings.

Filta, however, doesn?t stop at professional teams. The company has also branched out their services to reach college football. These teams include the Tigers, at Auburn University, the University of Virginia Cavaliers, and the University of Arkansas Diamondbacks.

Sports complexes are the perfect customers for Filta?s services, with most being regularly used for many other events, such as concerts and racing. Each stadium and arena contains numerous concession stands full of hot dogs, chicken fingers, and, of course, lots of French fries. Some complexes even have full size restaurants, providing larger varieties and amounts of food.

Filta Franchise Owner David Cloutier in Minnesota says ?After servicing the Target Field during its inaugural season, there was a site walk through by the concessions management company – Denver North Corp (DNC). Based upon the results that they observed in the 46 fryers there was an immediate request for a proposal at the Target Center, home of the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team. The results of our FiltaFry service speak for themselves!?

With the FiltaFry service originating in the UK, soccer was the original sport Filta serviced as President Jason Sayers explains. ?We have always serviced a whole cross section of customers including stadiums. In fact, we have serviced Arsenal Football (soccer) Club in the UK for years. Sports teams conjure up emotional responses from many of our Franchise Owners as they each support their own teams and have good natured rivalries all the time. At the end of the day though, the main thing is that all of our customers are being serviced well and we?re helping them go green.?

Although the mainstay of Filta?s business is still restaurants, its services are used at stadiums, universities, hospitals, hotels and anywhere else with fryers; helping everyone go green.

Filta Franchise Owners have helped customers recycle almost a third of a billion pounds of cooking oil and has operations in over 20 countries. For more information visit http://www.filta.com.
