NexGym Brings the Next Generation in Kids’ Fitness to Mall of Georgia in New Year

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 11, 2008

NexGym (http://www.nexgym.com), the innovative new fitness club for kids aged 3 through 14, announced today that it will open its first location in Georgia in January 2009. The new fitness club for kids and teens will be located in the Atlanta area at the Mall of Georgia, next to Toys R Us.

With child obesity rates at their highest in the U.S., the necessity for children’s fitness has never been so great. In Georgia, 43% of third grade children are either overweight or obese, according to a study by the Georgia Department of Human Services. But in an age of computers, video games and sedentary lifestyles, how do you lure kids into the world of healthy exercise?

“NexGym makes it simple,” said NexGym Mall of Georgia co-owner Antwan Lake, also an NFL defensive lineman for the New Orleans Saints and a former Atlanta Falcon. “By combining video gaming and virtual reality with healthy activity, kids don’t even know they’re exercising. They just think they’re having fun.”

As an NFL player, Lake knows the important role good health and fitness play. He and his partner decided to open the gym because they saw a need in the community to help kids get healthy in a positive environment.

“We hope to create a pattern of activity that will last a lifetime for the children who are part of our gym,” said co-owner Tekisha Moore.

NexGym Mall of Georgia will provide the latest, most innovative options for children’s fitness, offering interactive classes and programs created for children ages 3-14, and “exergaming,” the latest in video game and virtual exercise technology equipment, designed specifically for kids 6-14. The youth-focused gym will also offer circuit training equipment designed for kids, programs for children with special needs, nutritional guidance and birthday parties.

NexGym Mall of Georgia is scheduled to open in January 2009 at 3480 Financial Center Way, Suite 910 in Buford, Georgia. Club hours will be: Monday through Thursday 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m., Fridays 3:00p.m. – 9:00p.m., Saturdays 10:00a.m. – 9:00p.m. and Sundays 12:00noon – 7:00p.m. Birthday parties are available 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. on Fridays, 4:30p.m. – 9:00p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00noon – 7:00p.m. on Sundays 12noon – 7:00p.m. A grand opening celebration is in the works for late February.

Hertz Investment Group Sells New Orleans Dominion Tower Property to Zelia LLC

New Orleans (PRWEB) September 16, 2009

The Hertz Investment Group today announced it has sold to the family of Tom Benson, owner of the NFL Saints football team, a set of properties adjacent to the New Orleans Superdome. It is one of the largest real estate transactions yet announced for the central business district of New Orleans since the devastation and flooding of the city by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The sales agreement transfers to Zelia LLC, a company wholly owned by the Benson family, the Hertz-owned 600,000-square-foot Dominion Tower office building, the 400,000-square-foot New Orleans Centre mall, and the 2,000-space New Orleans Center parking garage.

Said Judah Hertz, founder and chairman of the Hertz Investment Group: “Despite the devastation of Katrina, which caused more damage than any other natural catastrophe in U.S. history, we knew that these properties were critically important to the people and future of New Orleans. We have been careful stewards of this property and many of our staff have made heroic sacrifices to protect and preserve these once-endangered structures.”

Added Mr. Hertz: “We are delighted to now hand the future of these important assets over to the Benson family. We continue to hold property inside the City of New Orleans and are proud to have continuing presence here as this jewel of a city regains its footing as one of America’s most beautiful and vibrant venues for visitors, businesses and residents.”

In October 2003, the Hertz Group paid $ 36 million to the Simon Property Group for the 26-story office tower and sprawling retail complex, built in 1989. The sales transaction announced today facilitated a long-term agreement between the Benson family and the State of Louisiana which aims to keep the NFL’s Saints football team, owned by the family, in New Orleans at the newly-refurbished Superdome.

Zelia LLC has previously announced plans to partner with state officials to create a large entertainment complex for sports fans by the start of football season in 2010. The State of Louisiana, which owns the Superdome, will lead efforts to engage architects and planners in creating a master plan for the buildings and arena.

Zelia and the Benson family have entered into a separate agreement with the State of Louisiana to refurbish the Tower for use by various state offices, which were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and are now housed in temporary quarters across the City of New Orleans. The Saints also plan to move their executive offices into Dominion Tower.

Hertz Investment Group continues to be the largest single owner of office space in New Orleans and still owns four buildings, representing a combined 1.7 million square feet, in the central business district:

Texaco Center (620,000 square feet)
909 Poydras (545,000 square feet)
Poydras Center (453,000 square feet)
Westpark Office Building (109,000 square feet)

About The Hertz Investment Group

The Hertz Investment Group specializes in the acquisition, marketing and management of exceptional real estate properties with a special emphasis on downtown revitalization.

The company is privately held and is today one of the largest fully-integrated real estate investment companies North America. Hertz currently owns and manages more than 20 major urban properties, representing more than 11 million square feet of office space in the central business districts of ten U.S. cities across eight states: Louisiana (New Orleans, Shreveport, and Lake Charles); Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh), Missouri (St. Louis), Kansas (Kansas City), Indiana (Indianapolis), Kentucky (Louisville), Mississippi (Jackson), and Ohio (Columbus, Cincinnati).

Since its founding by Judah Hertz in 1979, the Hertz Investment Group has acquired and managed a diverse collection of more than 100 premier properties throughout the United States, including prominent high-rise office buildings; international market centers for fashion and jewelry; historically significant landmark properties; luxury hotels; high profile theaters and society clubs; large retail centers; and multi-family residential properties.

Of course there are many wonderful Latin-themed clubs playing fantastic Salsa music, since Miami is rooted in Latin culture. And for those who prefer dance or house music, Miami’s world-famous DJs make sure visitors will enjoy a night of dancing they will not soon forget,” he said.

This year’s Super Bowl will be played at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Prior to this event, the stadium was known as ‘Land Shark Stadium’ until January 2010, when the name changed to reflect the name of Miami’s home football team.

Miami is also one of the few American cities that is surrounded by beautiful beaches. So visitors that aren’t attending the Super Bowl for the nightlight are hardly surprised that the other most highly-recommended things to do in Miami (other than staying out late and clubbing) are water-based sports and tourist activities. Kite surfing, surfing, parasailing, scuba diving, fishing, swimming with dolphins, and jet skiing are just a few of the many super activities available in Miami.

Mr Racette, said: “Both teams are highly motivated to win the Vince Lombardi trophy this year. American football fanatics who make the journey will also be delighted by the quality of hotels in Miami and value for money on offer from HotelTravel.com”.

SportSims.net Predicts Super Bowl XLIV Winner

Defiance, OH (PRWEB) February 4, 2010

SportSims.net, an online Franchise Football simulation game, used their technologically advanced simulation engine to predict the winner of Super Bowl XLIV. SportSims.net?s SimEngine uses the actual player and team stats and uses them to calculate each of the individual matchups in the game, producing the most accurate results possible.

After simulating the upcoming matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints more than 10,000 times, SportSims.net predicts that the Colts will emerge the winners.

Saints vs. Colts. In 10,000 simulations, SportSims.net predicts that the Colts will win the matchup 50.9% of the time against the Saints. The game?s final score was 34-28. This Super Bowl will prove very exciting as this is one of the closer simulations SportSims.net has run. SportSims.net President, Steve Olson said, ?The game will be very close and high scoring. As time expires in the fourth quarter, the Saints have possession and are within striking distance of the goal line. Should be a great game!?

With the news of Colts? Defensive End Dwight Freeney?s serious ankle injury and questionable status for the game, SportSims.net ran an additional group of simulations to see the effect ? the results illustrate that if Freeney does not play, the game shifts in favor of the Saints who won 50.1% of those games with a final score of 35-34. ?It is amazing to see the affect that one key player can have on a team?s performance,? added Olson.

Packers Fans ?Steel? Lead in Online Conversation, May Point to Green Bay Win if History is the Guide

Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) February 3, 2011

Infegy(http://www.infegy.com), the preeminent source for sentiment-driven web and deep social analytics, today released findings that show Packers fans are inching toward a lead, at least in terms of sheer volume of conversation occurring online. That could foretell a victory for Green Bay, if history serves as a guide. In the past four years, three of the four teams that dominated online buzz (http://infegy.com/buzzstudy) leading up to the Super Bowl were also the team who came home with the championship.

Analysts using Infegy?s Social Radar (http://infegy.com/socialradar.php), the industry?s most intelligent social media monitoring and web analytics platform, discovered some additional facts and figures about the upcoming Super Bowl XLV by analyzing, monitoring, measuring, and using historical reference of online and social ?chatter? surrounding the Super Bowl. Their findings also show that, overall, football enthusiasts are less excited about this year?s Super Bowl than last year?s dramatic face-off between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.

The Majority of One Foundation Finds Partner to Help Create EmpowerUSA.org Aimed at Providing Ongoing Relief Funding for Hurricane Katrina Victims

Warren, OH (PRWEB) September 12, 2005

The Majority of One Foundation (M1), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, announced today the creation of EmpowerUSA.org, an effort aimed at raising money to provide ongoing relief funding to victims of Hurricane Katrina.

“I feel confident that the ball is now rolling, bringing relief to millions of people impacted by this disaster,” states M1 COO Michael Moore. “What we want to ensure is that funding continues, not just through the summer and fall, but as long as is needed to help our fellow Americans get back on their feet.”

Moore says that as he watched reports coming in from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama he was first in a state of disbelief which quickly turned to horror as the images continued to illustrate the ongoing chaos.

“We were no longer dealing with property damage and flooded streets, which we had anticipated; we were viewing images of infants without water, elderly without the medication they need to survive.” As major humanitarian and aide related groups began to enter the scene, such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Network for Good and Habitat for Humanity, Mr. Moore says he felt instant relief. “These are good people who know how to care for those in need. They have a great support network and the resources to get involved quickly. Yet we still felt compelled to take action.”

Much of this compulsion came from knowing that his friend and President of The Majority of One Foundation, former Ohio State Buckeye and current Pro Bowl Center for the New Orleans Saints LeCharles Bentley was seeing the decimation of the city where he lives and which he proudly represents on the football field 16 Sundays every fall and winter.

“When you know people impacted it becomes even important that you take action,” Moore said.

Moore contacted long time supporter of The Majority of One Foundation, political and business marketing group Northeast Ohio Communications (NeoCom) looking in search for ways to organize fund raising efforts.

“We immediately began talking about how to get involved,” stated Eric Tobin, CEO NeoCom. “Michael realized we would not be the first organization to get involved and certainly not the biggest, but we both agreed that any positive impact we could have would be worth the effort.”

Through these conversations EmpowerUSA.org was created.

“From EmpowerUSA.org we not only have the ability to become involved for the long term, we have the ability to stay involved as long as needed,” Tobin says. “This enables us to make an impact now and be ready to contribute the next time Americans are in need. President and COO of NeoCom Linda Money says that help, “has to come in all shapes and sizes. Alone neither M1 nor NeoCom can contribute $ 250,000, but together we can organize an effort that will. We want to build a coalition of individuals and small businesses that can each contribute a little, which in the end will add up to real aide.”

Ms. Money also praised some of the cable news channels for their involvement in identifying smaller organizations wanting to lend aide, “On MSNBC’s Scarborough Country for example, Joe Scarborough seems to have several different organizations listed on the screen each night, illustrating just how much help in out there. The more people we get involved, the more unique ways we can help people recover and rebuild.”

By visiting EmpowerUSA.org individuals can purchase Katrina Relief Bracelets, made popular by the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

“This provides people with a reminder of the good they are doing, of the donation they made to assist others,” says Moore. “The most important things for me, is that 70% of the money a person spends on the relief bracelets goes directly towards victim relief. We have tried to make it clear, many people are selling Hurricane Katrina merchandise, some state that a portion of the proceeds go towards victim relief, if they do, I’m glad. But I want people to understand that through EmpowerUSA.org, we spell it out for you $ 7 of every $ 10 is directed to aide. We are looking forward to working with other companies to create other one of a kind items that will stand as a reminder of the contributions one made to aide in the recovery of others.”

“I am proud to be in a position to begin down such an important path” says James Hall, Founder and CEO of The Majority of One Foundation, “I have the greatest of hopes that what we start here today will translate into a blessing for many. LeCharles Bentley and The Majority of One Foundation are honored to have this opportunity to partner with NeoCom to create an avenue of relief for the victims in the City of New Orleans, the States of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.”
