Sports-O-Zone Backs Up Super Bowl Teams with Killer Offense Against Staph Infections

Elkhart, IN (PRWEB) February 5, 2010

What does ozone have to do with the Super Bowl? For a small Indiana firm, thriving in the Hoosier county that is the recession?s poster child, it means tackling one of sports? dirty little secrets at the highest level of competition.

Sports-O-Zone has made its presence felt in a big way with the Colts and Saints along with other NFL teams looking to limit the exposure of its athletes to bacterial infections and other pathogens, including the increasingly hard-to-contain MRSA ? Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. MRSA is a potentially deadly type of drug-resistant ?super staph? that has become more prevalent in recent years.

MRSA and other pathogens are a persistent problem at the high school, college and professional levels, as well, as the bumps and abrasions of contact sports such as football, hockey, lacrosse and wrestling, which leave athletes particularly vulnerable to bacteria transmitted from equipment, uniforms, and even locker room towels. Athletes at all sporting levels have battled such infections.

Sports-O-Zone has been in the forefront of using ozone to eliminate the threat of bacteria. Sports-O-Zone?s patented sanitation chamber uses technology that mimics a lightning strike to create a concentrated amount of ozone that saturates and quickly sanitizes equipment placed in it, such as helmets, shoulder pads and hockey gloves, along with uniforms and towels.

Currently 12 NFL teams, including most of the recent Super Bowl participants, use the Sports-O-Zone Sanitizing System. Unlike wiping down equipment with liquid or spray sanitizers, Sports-O-Zone treatment is a concentrated gas that can permeate every crevice to provide 99.9 percent effectiveness, said Mark Eades, Sports-O-Zone?s director of sales.

With the growing awareness of the potential dangers of MRSA and other pathogens in locker rooms, Sports-O-Zone?s sales have taken off over the past two years, with inquiries continuing to jump so far in 2010. Sport-O-Zone treatments can not only be found at every level of athletic competition but with police SWAT teams, the U.S. Border Patrol, law enforcement and military units as well.

?We have not had a case of MRSA, since starting to use the Sports-O-Zone sanitizing system,? said Dan Davies, Head Athletic Trainer, Bowdoin College.

?This is green method of sanitation,? Eades noted. ?We pull oxygen out of the air and turn it into ozone. When the ozone hits the bacteria, it reverts back into oxygen. There are no toxic chemicals to spray, wipe or irritate the skin. It does the job faster and more thoroughly.?

?We like to think we?re part of what makes a champion by keeping players healthy and able to perform their best,? said Eades. ?As these teams have had to elevate their game to get to the Super Bowl, we?ve elevated the game of countering MRSA. Just shows what the right kind of offense can do.?

SportsInsights.com Proves Winning Results with New Sports Investing Feature “Bet Against the Public”

ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) September 22, 2005

One week after its successful re-launch, SportsInsights.com announces its new Sports Investing feature. “Bet Against the Public” is producing impressive results for its members with a 4-1 record on NFL Week 2 games. The “Bet Against the Public” feature uncovers inefficiencies in sports betting marketplace by using economic analysis similar to the stock market. The result is clear: betting against the public can increase winnings. Since the start of the NFL season, SportsInsights.com “Bet Against the Public” analysis has an overall accuracy record of 8-2.

SportsInsights.com’s new “Bet Against the Public” feature reveals more accurate odds by uncovering inefficiencies in the sports betting market. Using Wall Street-like theories found only on SportsInsights.com – “Bet Against the Public” analysis shows that people naturally want to root for a favorite or a winner. The sports betting market knows this and shades the betting lines towards the favorites. In addition, sportsbooks don’t adjust their books to account for the shading which results in an overall mis-pricing of games and encourages people to keep betting for the favorite. “Bet Against the Public” accounts for this bias with analysis based on stock market models to give people a more accurate view of the way people are betting – and it’s often not the favorites.

“Everyone likes a winner but our “Bet Against the Public” feature shows that the public is systematically wrong in picking winners in the NFL,” said Daniel Fabrizio, founder of SportsInsights.com. “By using our Sports Investing tools we remove the bias to root for winners and scores to reveal statistics that are the most accurate to date in the sports betting market.”

SportsInsights.com “Bet Against the Public” analysis begins every Tuesday morning to look at the previous week’s games and then analyzes the upcoming week’s games.

Go to http://www.sportsinsights.com/public_opinion.asp to see how “Bet Against the Public” feature tracks and displays the results from the Sept. 19 NFL games plus a look at this week’s games.

Signs Express (Northampton) sponsors Easter football clash against Torquay United

(PRWeb UK) April 9, 2010

Signs Express (Northampton) celebrated its first anniversary under new ownership by sponsoring Northampton Town’s Easter Monday clash with Torquay United.

One of franchisee Mark Meadowcroft’s first acts when he bought the business in April 2009 was to sign a deal with his local football league club to become official sign partner. Over the last year, the relationship has blossomed. Signs Express (Northampton) has secured new business from a number of fellow commercial partners at the football club, including shirt sponsors Jackson Grundy, and the two organisations have agreed an extension to their agreement. On the field, the team were 20th in League Two on Christmas Day, but have had an excellent run of results in 2010 and by Easter Sunday had risen to sixth in the league.

Meadowcroft chose to invite his team of signmakers to sample the Cobblers’ hospitality. He said: “It’s been an interesting year. We have been profitable, but we’ve had to earn every penny in a very difficult economy. However, we believe that business confidence in Northamptonshire is improving and we are cautiously optimistic that next year will be better. It’s important to say thank you to my team, they’ve worked hard and they and their partners deserve their day out.”

The match itself was watched by Northampton Town’s biggest crowd of the season, but the spectacle was spoiled by a strong wind that blew diagonally across the pitch and ended in nil-nil draw. But the club’s play-off hopes are still firmly alive and Signs Express (Northampton) is still dreaming of a trip to Wembley next month.

New York’s “Guns” & “Hoses” To Play In Freedom Bowl Against CFA All-Stars

Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 4, 2004 -

–On Friday, February 6, 2004, The California Football Association, will host a group of active-duty NYPD and FDNY for the 1st Annual Freedom Bowl at the Long Beach Veterans Memorial Stadium. Between the two New York teams, these men lost 11 members of their family in the Twin Towers. In honor of their comrades’ joint sacrifice, surviving members of these teams have joined into one all-star team, calling themselves The New York Towers.

This game is not just a worthwhile charity event, but also a serious game of football under NFL rules and officiating, the Towers will be competing with an all-star team from the California Football Association, many of whom are being staged for the NFL.

The game will be a tribute to those “Guns” and “Hoses” who carry on every day and will give the teams a chance to inspire the youth of tomorrow. Proceeds will be donated to a scholarship fund set up in the names of The Towers fallen comrades and to the St. Andrews Park Recreational Center in the name of Marquese Rashad Prude, a 13 year old boy who was killed at the center in 2001 in a drive by shooting.

“I was blessed enough to know Marquese. Like many young men in our communities, he was trying to do the right thing and a senseless act of violence took his life much too early. It is not only our responsibility, it is our duty as leaders and roll models to reach back and give our youth the chance at a better life. We welcome the New York Towers, to our backyard and although we plan on giving them a good hurting on the field, we stand united for our youth.
