All the judges noticed the overall high quality of the projects received. “I will say that in general I felt this year’s entries were all high quality (?). Not a single one showed obvious bugs or errors. (?) Entries were received from around the world, including Canada, the United States, England, Austria, Peru, Poland, Belgium, Serbia and Montenegro, Singapore. Winner of PicksPal.com?s Hoops 1001 Contest Crushes the Competition

Those statistics were more predictable and consistent with the season averages.?

Wesseling was able to accumulate such a large point total despite all the surprises and upsets in this year?s college basketball tournament because of the Hoops 1001 Contest?s unique format. Unlike traditional brackets, PicksPal.com?s contest did not force players to pick every game before the beginning of the tournament. Instead, players received 5000 points each round to play on their choice of any game?s winner, over/under or a variety of fun and exotic props.

The Hoops 1001 Contest also rewarded the winner of each round with an iPod and the overall winner with a 42-inch flat panel HDTV, which is where Wesseling will be watching next year?s NCAA tournament.
