For forty-three years, “Crazy Ray” has been entertaining children of all ages. Now, as failing health and financial troubles come, will Dallas step up and support this man?

Despite their popularity and fame, Ray and his beloved wife Mattie have fallen on hard times. Their failing health and financial trouble have left them in need of your support. He can’t fold balloons or even see the smiling faces of the children that he is entertaining.

Will the fans step up and show their support and love for Crazy Ray? His home is in desperate need of repairs and is not handicap accessible. It hasn’t had much maintenance since it was built in 1976. We applied with Extreme Makeover Home Edition back in March and haven’t heard a response. Ray and Mattie can’t wait anymore. They need your support now! Will you entertain this man who has entertained you for so many years?

Steelers, Redskins, Raiders or Cowboys? New 10-Month Study at MentalPerformanceIndex.com to Reveal the Most Dominant Team in Super Bowl History; Weekly Game Reports Begin Sunday February 25 with the 1967 Clash Between Packers and Chiefs

Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 20, 2007

The inventor of the Mental Performance Index(TM) (MPI(TM)), Dr. John F. Murray, who has accurately forecast team performance in the past five Super Bowls in the national media (including mental factors in scoring) is embarking on a new 41-week study to determine the winner of the “Super Bowl of Super Bowls.” His data will determine which team was the most dominant in the 41 year history of the Super Bowl.

Beginning Sunday February 25, Dr. Murray will present statistics and game summaries at http://www.MentalPerformanceIndex.com with one game report every Sunday for 41straight weeks. “What is exciting about this study is not only that the MPI is more accurate than the final score in rating team performance, but that it standardizes scoring on a scale of .000 to 1.000 so that any team can be compared against any other team in history,” said Murray.

Debates rage every year about which team was the best in history. “Whether the most dominant Super Bowl team was the perfect-season Miami Dolphins of 1972, Bradshaw’s Steelers, Montana’s Forty-Niners, Jimmy Johnson’s Cowboys or the Brady’s Patriots of recent years will be crystal clear in this study,” said Murray. “It should also be fun for the diehard football fan who cannot wait for the Fall and wants to know if his team was the best ever.”

Dallas Cowboys Players Moonlight as Heavy Metallists in Free Reign and Announce Texas Record Release Performance on April 16, 2011

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 11, 2011

With the April 19th release fast approaching of the full-length debut by Free Reign, Heavier Than Metal (via DC Rightside Music), the band ? which is comprised of two Dallas Cowboys, singer Marc Colombo and bassist Leonard Davis, and a Miami Dolphin, drummer Cory Procter ? has announced a special record release performance.

The outdoor concert will take place on Saturday, April 16th, from 5-11 p.m., in Davis’ hometown of Wortham, Texas, downtown on Main Street, and will include performances from other rock acts, including: Thrown, Diamond Back, Reckless Intent, and Feel Never Real, in addition to Free Reign’s performance. The location will also be easy for rockers in nearby cities such as Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Corsicana, and Mexia to make the trek to.

The band, which also includes non-footballer Justin Chapman on guitar, released the first single from Heavier Than Metal, titled “One Step Away,” via iTunes on February 15th. Explains Colombo, “‘One Step Away’ is a song about feeling close to success – whether it’d be a band that has worked so hard but could not quite reach their dream, or a team/player that’s accomplished so much but a championship just seems to elude them. What keeps people coming back is the idea that maybe this time nothing will stand in your way of achieving your ultimate goal.”

Hometown hero Davis says, “The most important reason for doing the Wortham Show is to give back to the people who have supported me in everything that I’ve done. It’s our hometown?.where Justin and I grew up. Since we’ve been in the band, everyone has joked about us doing a show down there, but deep down I could tell they didn’t think it would ever be possible. I always thought if we ever did a show there, it would turn out to be a fun and enjoyable event. To me, it means a lot to the kids. They’re used to seeing me play football on Sunday afternoons, but I feel like by them seeing me play music in person, it will show them that sports is not the only way to be successful.

“You can be successful in other aspects of life, and music just happens to be one. If you told me 10 years ago that I’d be playing in a heavy metal band, I would have told them that they were full of it. Another reason this means a lot to me is because most of the people there I’ve known all of my life, and they may never be able to travel to watch us perform. I felt like we could bring the “bigg show” to the small town to perform and do what we do, so that everyone can bring their families and have a good old time,” Davis adds.

To give back to his hometown further, Davis and Free Reign will be accepting donations for the Freestone County 4-H club during the concert. And on April 16th, Texas-based fans will be able to catch Free Reign rocking the Downtown Main Street stage down to its foundation, as the band will be bringing big time rock to small town America. Or as Procter puts it, “The NFL may lockout their fans, but we’re not locking out ours.”

Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Stalked By Girl Gang in New Suspense Novel

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) April 30, 2007

Rick Suttle’s new suspense novel “Suicide Peak” shows us that even a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader can choose the wrong time and place to resume a teaching career — sometimes with very dire and extreme circumstances.

Unable to find a job as an English teacher in Dallas, Debbie Preston moves to Perryville, Ohio, a small farm community about a half hour west of Columbus, Ohio, to teach her favorite subject at Madison High School. But as summer winds down and the new school year begins, four girls and three women have already died near the bluffs at the old community park. The latest victim is a biker chick/exotic dancer who was last seen making a drug deal at Rowdy Bob’s, a local hangout for teens.

Debbie is already apprehensive enough about returning to a teaching career after a three-year absence. But that is the least of her troubles. After flunking a key member of the Fiends, a violent girl gang, she soon finds herself being stalked by not only the girl she flunked but Alice Holmes, a hulking teen who is both known and feared at Madison High for her brutality.

Debbie eventually gets a little too inquisitive about Alice and the Fiends and starts spying on her, interfering with Alice’s plans and the turf war going on between the Fiends and the biker chicks from nearby Munroe. Women and girls are dying. But are they really suicides? The police seem to think so . . . but Debbie has her doubts about the latest rash of deaths.

Suttle holds nothing back in this thriller as his protagonist becomes entangled in a ruthless web of violence and insanity that leaves her struggling for survival until the bitter end.

Suttle grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Oak Hills High School, before graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He also has a Master of Business degree. Spending much of his career in marketing research, he has lived in Columbus, Atlanta, Lexington, Ky., Dayton and Dallas. “Suicide Peak” is his second novel. He also wrote the well-received humor novel “Hell Year” in 2003.

“Suicide Peak” is available through Author House as well as local and online book stores.

Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl LB DeMarcus Ware Helps Jonathan’s Place With Pepsi Campaign

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 31, 2010

Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl linebacker DeMarcus Ware, a supporter of Jonathan?s Place, is helping abused and neglected children during Super Bowl Week. Jonathan?s Place is a ?home-style? emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children and a Foster & Adoptive Family Program located in Northeast Dallas County.

In conjunction with Pepsi and the NFL, Ware is one of three current NFL players that are helping Pepsi launch its ?Refresh Everything? campaign during the week leading up to Super Bowl XLIV. In connection with Pepsi?s desire to make the Earth a better place by ?Refreshing Everything?, each of the three players has chosen a charity that is close to their hearts to work with during the campaign. Ware chose Jonathan?s Place as his charity.

Voting begins today and remains in place through 12:00am on February 5. Fans will have the opportunity to go to the NFL?s site, view the videos and vote on which player?s charity they think is the most deserving. The player and charity that receives the most votes during that week will receive a $ 100,000 grant from Pepsi. The other two charities will each receive $ 25,000 grants. To cast your vote, visit http://www.nfl.com/partner?partnerType=refresh-project and watch videos of each player talk about their respective charity.

Ware became involved with Jonathan?s Place about two years ago and has consistently provided support to children living there. For the past two years, he and his wife, Taniqua, have helped ensure the Jonathan?s Place kids have the best Christmas of their young lives. The Wares have gone above and beyond the call to support Jonathan?s Place and their little ones.

About Jonathan?s Place

For 15 years, Jonathan?s Place has been taking care of the Dallas area?s youngest victims of abuse. Jonathan?s Place provides this care through two programs ? a ?home-style? emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children and a Foster & Adoptive Family Program. The emergency shelter provides specialized services and 24-hour residential care for children age newborn to 17 years and is the only emergency shelter in Dallas County that provides residential services for children in crisis under the age of 10. In the Foster & Adoptive Family Program, Jonathan?s Place recruits potential foster and adoptive families, conducts a comprehensive training program and verifies the families as either foster or foster-to-adopt families. At this point, Jonathan?s Place works with CPS to place children into the care of these families. Jonathan?s Place is the only organization in Dallas (and one of only a few organizations in the State of Texas) that provides continued care from crisis placement in an emergency shelter to placement with a foster family to, ultimately, adoption.

Dallas Cowboys Pay $275,000 for Single Photograph

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 8, 2005

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to pay a local photographer $ 275,000 to settle the lawsuit he brought after the Cowboys organization used one of his copyrighted pictures without permission.

Walter Smith, of Impact Images, captured the image of Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith kneeling on the star in the middle of Texas Stadium during a game against the San Francisco 49ers on September 28, 2000. Emmitt struck his pose just after 49er wide receiver Terrell Owens did a post-touchdown dance on the star, in a game San Francisco eventually won, 41-24.

Walter Smith provided the Cowboys organization with a digital file of his photograph, which the team considered using on season tickets. Though the Cowboys ended up choosing another design, the team eventually bought 250 copies of the picture – bearing the photographer’s copyright – for resale to the public.

Then, without seeking his permission, the Cowboys began using the image of Emmitt and the star on t-shirts, sweatshirts and other items. The photographer discovered the copyright infringement himself, when he stopped by a Cowboys booth at the State Fair of Texas, and saw Cowboys merchandise adorned with his picture.

“Essentially, the Cowboys organization stole Walt’s paycheck,” says Jim Davis of Davis Munck, P.C., in Dallas, who represented the photographer in his case against the team. “Taking pictures is how he makes a living. The Cowboys knew this because they had purchased copies of the photograph to sell in their pro shops. Apparently, they thought they could use the image on their merchandise without paying Walt. I’m quite certain they don’t think that anymore.”

Under terms of the settlement in Walter G. Smith v. Dallas Cowboys Football Club et al. (3-04-CV-575-M), submitted to a federal district court in Dallas, the Cowboys agreed to pay Walter Smith $ 275,000 and to cease using the image in any promotion or advertising. Also included in the settlement is a clause that bars Walter Smith from returning to Texas Stadium to take photographs in the future. The team also tried, but failed, to bar him from Dallas Desperados games.

“For the Cowboys to add insult to injury by closing their gates on Walt tarnishes the very star Emmitt Smith was trying to defend,” Mr. Davis says. “It’s just plain vindictive. If anyone should be angry about what happened, it should be Walt Smith. He’s the one whose property was taken and used without permission.”

Davis Munck, P.C., is a Dallas-based law firm focused on serving the technology industry and other businesses driven by innovation. The firm represents clients from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies in high-stakes commercial litigation, corporate transactions and business formation, employment and intellectual property law.
