Cuda Apparel to Give Car Away at WSU/USC Football Game!

Spokane, WA (PRWEB) October 28, 2004

As the WSU Cougars and the #1 ranked USC Trojans resume their rivalry at Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington on Saturday October 30th, fans will be yelling the theme “Cougar Rah”. Cuda Apparel Inc. announced today that it is sponsoring a Cougar Rah contest during the game, and will be giving away a new Dodge Neon to a lucky attendee. The promotion is co-sponsored by Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID, and Varsity Sportswear in Pullman.

The car will be won after 200 T-Shirts shaped like footballs saying Cougar Rah are launched into the crowd between the third and fourth quarters of the nationally televised game. One fan will catch a T-Shirt imprinted with “You Win”, and that fan will receive the car. If the fan is under 18 years of age, his or her parents will receive the car. The winner will be instructed to meet with Cuda Apparel and WSU Marketing representatives.

The game is a complete sellout, but fans can get two free tickets and a chance to possibly win the car by entering a drawing at the Cuda Apparel/Vyper Sportswear location at 2015 North Division. There is no purchase necessary. The drawing will take place Friday, October 29th at noon. The winner need not be present.

Cuda Apparel’s new “Cougar Rah” theme is designed to help the Cougars rise to the occasion and spring a big upset. “Cougar Rah is way of saying hurrah Cougars” said Zane Troester, General Manager for Cuda Apparel Inc. The entire promotion has been approved by Washington State University.

Troester notes, “This is a one of a kind promotion. When has anyone been able to simply go to a football game and win a new car?” Vice President George Badner adds, “Cuda Apparel is proud to be a licensee of Washington State University, and proud to be able to offer this incredible promotion to loyal Cougar fans.”

The Cougar Rah car promotion is being supported with over $ 35,000 in advertising and prizes. The car will be on display at the main entrance prior to and during the game.

All fans and media are invited to Cuda Apparel at 2015 North Division on Wednesday, October 27th to view the “Cougar Rah” design that will be launched into the crowd.

Cuda Apparel Inc. manufactures and distributes custom screen-printed, embroidered and tackle-twilled apparel, bags, caps and accessories in addition to selling over 50,000 various promotional products. The company features a website at http://www.cudaapparel.com where the new Cougar Rah garments can also be purchased.

Spending On College Bowl Game Title Sponsorships To Total $53 Million In 2007

Chicago, Ill. (PRWEB) December 21, 2007

Sponsor spending to title college football bowl games will total $ 53 million in the ‘07-’08 bowl season that kicks off tonight, up 8.2 percent from $ 49 million last year, according to IEG Sponsorship Report, the world’s leading authority on sponsorship.

Three games have new title sponsors this year, while no bowls lost a naming rights partner without replacing it.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. took title of the Gator Bowl, replacing Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC’s 12-year-old sponsorship. Valero Energy Corp. increased its longtime support of the Alamo Bowl — which ran last year without a name sponsor — through a three-year title deal.

In the most unique deal of the year in terms of sponsor categories, Roady’s Truck Stops took title of the former MPC Computers Bowl and revived the game’s former Humanitarian Bowl moniker.

Four of this season’s 31 bowls do not have a title sponsor, including the Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi and the Motor City Bowl, neither of which offer title to partners. The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl lost Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC as presenting sponsor, although the company remains a cosponsor.

Sponsorship of the Bowl Championship Series national title game rotates from Fiesta Bowl titler Tostitos to Sugar Bowl titler Allstate for next month’s Ohio State-LSU match-up.

“Bowl games continue to benefit from their extensive media exposure and the opportunity to tap into the passion of students, alumni and other college football fans,” said William Chipps, IEG Sponsorship Report’s senior editor.

In addition, non-BCS bowls continue to increase sponsorship revenue by providing access to databases and mailing lists, offering promotional platforms to sponsors and vendors, and creating ancillary events around games to offer more one-on-one touchpoints for sponsors and their stakeholders.

Local Sports Retailer Game Plans to Fight Animal Cruelty

Allentown, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) September 10, 2009

Sports Blitz, a Lehigh Valley licensed sportswear, novelty and memorabilia merchandiser, is teaming up with local fans to gang tackle animal cruelty by donating 10 percent of its proceeds the second Sunday of every month during the upcoming professional football season to the Pennsylvania SPCA to help give homeless and abused dogs a second chance.

Second Chance Sundays will feature sales and promotions of Sports Blitz’s array of authentic, licensed, on-field apparel and collectibles at their family-owned stores in Easton, PA, at 3071 William Penn Plaza, and in Whitehall, PA at 2544 MacArthur Road at the MacArthur Towne Center.

The Pennsylvania SPCA will attend the kickoff events for Second Chance Sundays on September 13 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at both Sports Blitz locations with adoptable Second Chance Dogs.

The Second Chance Dogs of the Pennsylvania SPCA are Pit Bulls who have been rescued and rehabilitated from fighting rings and other abuses. They arrive at the Pennsylvania SPCA suffering from severe neglect, starvation, cruelty and injury, often as victims of illegal dog fighting operations. Pit Bulls also carry the added stigma from negative and erroneous media characterizations. Given a second chance, these dogs make loyal and loving companions.

“We’re thrilled to see compassionate sports fans step up to help tackle dog fighting and other animal abuse in Pennsylvania,” said Pennsylvania SPCA Chief Executive Officer Sue Cosby. “Second Chance Sundays are a great way for people to support their favorite team and at the same time do something positive for dogs in need.”

“We hope that increasing public awareness of the efforts of the Pennsylvania SPCA and supporting the work they do will help bring an end to animal cruelty and provide homes for abandoned and abused pets,” said Justin Madaus, Sports Blitz Chief Operating Officer.

Second Chance Sundays begin September 13, week-one of the 2009 professional football season, and return every second Sunday of each month throughout the 2009 season.

Sports Blitz is family owned and operated. Its mission is to provide passionate sports fans of a variety of leagues and teams with a selection of authentic, licensed, on-field apparel and collectibles. Gay College Football Team to Compete in National Championship Bowl Game in Horatian Satire

(PRWEB) January 6, 2010

The General Academic University ?Dandy Lions? (12-0) clash with Coast Guard?s ?Drunken Seamen? (12-0) to decide the National Championship at the Sheepskin Condom Bowl in Michael DeMarco?s (http://www.demarcomedia.com) much anticipated Horatian Satire/viral marketing platform ?General Academic University?. The animated short was created by marketing guru Michael DeMarco as a social commentary on the dangers of political correctness and of positive stereotyping in sport and society while marrying the potential of viral commerce. Animated by Chris Tucker.

The idea sprang from the 2005 reprimand of then head coach of the Air Force Falcons? of 23 years Fisher Deberry for stating that black players ?can run really well?. Deberry resigned, many believe under duress, the following year.

?Political correctness is destroying our country. You can?t compliment a group or, apparently, you lose your job. PC has effectively stolen our right to free speech. I?m taking it back with a gay football team that just so happens to be the best college football team in the world? Says writer, director/producer Michael DeMarco.

The motive is not completely altruistic. As an intellectual property, General Academic University is a venue where comedy, controversy, and commerce meet. As a viral advertising platform, G.A.U. borrows its model from traditional broadcast commercial television to maximize profitability.

Mr. Demarco believes the key factor hindering viral advertising from taking over as the standard is a lack of business vision and profit from the creative side.

‘I?m not pushing conventional viral strategy, I?m pulling it? asserts DeMarco.

Sponsors for episode one include recording artists Vanessa Thompson and Inergroove. Extreme sports gear brand BadMFer and urban model Elke the Stallion. Green Dot Environmental and an online reality show and book by adult film legend Sunset Thomas. Voice over performed by Vince Sartini of PowerPlay Audio Productions.

About Michael DeMarco: Michael DeMarco is a marketing guru and pundit who has been seen, heard, or read about by over a billion people worldwide as the front man for various clients. He hosts The Biggest Radio Show in the World Syndicated on World Talk Radio and Voice America.

HerGameFace.com Launches to Help Female Fans Gear Up for the Big Game

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 10, 2009

Women are sports fans too. That?s the motivation behind HerGameFace.com, a new online destination for female sports fans. HerGameFace.com was created when Jennifer Myers Robb and Diane Burnett, two savvy online marketers with a passion for sports, grew tired of the endless search for sports apparel that fit a woman?s body.

?I would spend hours wading through thousands of men?s jerseys and t-shirts to find the perfect Tar Heels fitted shirt only to end up buying a youth size because there weren?t any styles that fit me?, says Myers Robb, a UNC grad. ?While there are dozens of great websites for sports fans, none cater to the special needs of women. Diane and I decided to apply our over two decades of combined online marketing experience to create a website for die-hard female fans to shop for the items that they are looking for ?from a curve hugging vintage jersey to a stylish purse in school colors.?

From that inspiration grew HerGameFace.com, a site that caters to growing female fan bases across college and professional sports teams. Finally, there is one destination where women can shop for fan gear and gifts from all of their favorite sports teams including NCAA, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR and Soccer. HerGameFace.com aggregates hundreds of thousands of products from trusted online merchants including Sports Authority, FansEdge, and FootballFanatics.com. Myers Robb and Burnett have developed an algorithm that filters and sorts items using keywords most used by female shoppers across a wide range of categories such as apparel, tailgating, collectibles, and autographed memorabilia. Filters allow users to quickly and easily find the size and style representing their favorite team.

?Our game plan is to become the premier online destination for female sports fans,? says Burnett. ?HerGameFace.com continues to add new partners and inventory every month and will continue to refine the display algorithm to further improve the customer experience. We also plan to grow into a community where women can read the latest sports news, discuss the big game, and connect with each other.?

For more information about HerGameFace.com and to shop for fan gear and gifts, visit the web site at http://www.hergameface.com or contact Jennifer Myers Robb or Diane Burnett via email at info(at)hergameface(dot)com or Jennifer by phone at 954-778-0047.

AFA Agrees To Forego National Championship Game In Order For Its Top Rated Teams To Continue Playing In Postseason Regional Tournaments

Endicott, NY (PRWEB) November 13, 2005

American Football Association Press Release:

Media – Contact Dave Burch at AFA National Office

(877)624-4485 or (941)388-3510

(website) http://www.americanfootballassn.com

(PRWEB) November 13, 2005 — The American Football Association announced today that it has cancelled its previously scheduled date of January 14th for hosting the national association’s 26th annual National Championship Game. The decision was made to allow the association’s top rated teams to participate against league champions and other highly rated teams from their regional areas and advance to play against tournament champs from a number of season ending tournament championships.

“With all the postseason regional championships now taking place from coast-to-coast, we have simply run out of time trying to host an AFA national championship game for the last two teams standing at the conclusion of the postseason tournaments”, stated the AFA President Ron Real. “To our knowledge there are as many as 8 different postseason national type tournaments being conducted across the country this year – with most of them culminating on January 14th – and many of them in Florida and California – for obvious reasons”.

While the AFA’s original plan was to have the top rated AFA team in the Summer/Spring category play against the top rated team in the Fall category on January 14th for the AFA national title – both of those teams, Daly City California Renegades and the Albany New York Mallers, expressed their intent to continue playing in the various post-season tournaments that they had been previously invited to attend.

“With neither of the top two teams available to participate in the AFA title game on January 14th, we decided to cancel the game date rather than offer it to second and third place teams. This was done out of respect for the decision the Mallers and the Renegades made to gather as much season ending credibility as possible in route to a national title by playing, and hopefully winning those postseason tournaments they agreed to enter months ago”, continued Real.

To facilitate crowning a 2005 AFA National Championship team, the AFA will simply extend its power rating program through the conclusion of the independent postseason tournaments on January 14th – giving an additional opportunity for all AFA league championship teams to qualify for the AFA national title. The five top rated AFA league champions going into post season tournament play are the Empire League Champion Albany NY Metro Mallers (16-0); the Mason-Dixon League Champion Virginia Ravens (16-0); the California Golden State League Champion Daly City Renegades (16-1), the Mid-Continental League Champion Detroit Seminoles (12-1) and the Southern States Football League Champion(12-2) Hernando Florida Eagles.

Four of these league championship teams are currently competing in regional tournament action with the hope of extending their season ending power rating and an opportunity to be crowned the American Football Association’s 2005 National Championship team. The AFA reminds member teams that are still in contention for the title, that the power rating will not be the lone determining factor for selecting its 2005 National Championship team now that the teams have entered postseason tournament play.

The Milwaukee Wisconsin Bulldogs (11-1) won the Ironman (AA) league playoff title and ended their season as the AFA’s top rated AA team with 220 points for and only 10 points against. Their #1 rating has earned the Bull Dogs the AFA’s ‘Double A’ National Championship team title for the 2005 semi-pro football season.

About the American Football Association:

The AFA is dedicated to the advancement of semi-pro/minor league football throughout the United States and serves as the National Organization for non-professional leagues and teams from coast-to-coast. For more information about the AFA, please visit their Web site: http://www.americanfootballassn.com.
