The demand is rising for these seats and ticket brokers are short on supply,? Lipman explained.

Lipman advises those who may be waiting until the last minute to purchase tickets to reconsider. ?The prices have already gotten as low as they?re going to. With the Wall Street and Merc factor, and National fan driven franchises like the Steelers and Cheese head Nation all winning this past weekend, prices are only going up and are likely to go even higher next week, leading to Super Bowl Sunday.?

Tickets that were $ 1,900 last week rose after the results of this past weekends? games. Upper level ticket prices opened Monday morning at $ 2,400 and closed at $ 3,000 by days? end. ?Last Wednesday, end-zone club-level seats were selling for $ 3,000 and lower-level end-zone seats were $ 2,600. Now, those prices have just about doubled, costing $ 6,000 and $ 5,000 respectively,? Lipman reported.

The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary, in cooperation with the Pittsburgh Steelers, will present a free hiring event for job seekers who have military backgrounds in Pittsburgh on Thursday, September 25. RecruitMilitary will produce the career fair in cooperation with The American Legion; HireVetsFirst, a unit of the United States Department of Labor; and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN).

More than 500 organizations attended 45 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs in 2007. At those events, an average of 30-plus organizations interviewed an average of over 325 job seekers. RecruitMilitary Career Fairs conducted in 2006 and 2007 generated television coverage by CNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN; radio coverage by ESPN and numerous regional stations; and articles in metropolitan and local newspapers.

The American Legion is an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.7 million members in nearly 15,000 posts throughout the world. The National Commander of The American Legion is Dave Rehbein, an Army veteran, of Ames, Iowa. The Commander of the Department of Pennsylvania is W. J. “Sandy” Sandell, a Navy veteran, of Erie. Congress chartered The American Legion in 1919. HireVetsFirst was created by Congress in 2002 to develop awareness among employers of the outstanding attributes of men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life. The Military Spouse Corporate Career Network was founded in 2004 to provide career opportunities and job portability for military spouses. The organization is made up of military spouses, caregivers to war wounded, and retired military personnel.

RecruitMilitary, based in Cincinnati, connects employers with job seekers who have military backgrounds. All of the company’s account executives and retained search consultants are either veterans or active or former reservists. The President of RecruitMilitary is Drew Myers, formerly a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. The company was founded in 1998. 14-year-old Singer/Actress Pens an Original Song for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Drive for 7

Keely Marshall is a 14-year-old singer/actress who relocated to Los Angeles from Tampa over a year ago to pursue her dreams of a singing and acting career. What she didn’t expect was to have musical success with a song about the Pittsburgh Steelers. While she has never lived in Pittsburgh her favorite football team is the Steelers due to her dad, Kevin Marshall having been raised an ardent Steelers fan in Pittsburgh.

After the Steelers defeated the New York Jets in the AFC Championship, Marshall set about writing a song for the Steelers and the Super Bowl. With some help from her dad, Marshall spent the next couple days coming up with a theme, a tune and lyrics. They settled on a title, DRIVE FOR 7, taken from the song’s catchy chorus. The song chronicles the Steelers meteoric rise in the 70’s and takes the team through their 6th Super Bowl win in “Tampa where I lived” on to their current match-up with the Green Bay Packers.

After recording the song on an HD video camera, with Marshall playing acoustic guitar, the video was uploaded on to her YouTube account. It soon caught fire when the elder Marshall, owner of an advertising agency in Tampa, posted the video link on various Steelers-themed Facebook pages and blogs.

In a week’s time the video has amassed over 11,000 views and comments from all over Steelers nation. Once planted on Facebook and Twitter, the video has been shared on Facebook over 1,400 times. A popular tween magazine, POPSTAR MAGAZINE (http://www.popstaronline.com/blog/entry/keely-marshall-roots-for-the-steelers/), posted the song on their website, alongside a picture of Marshall with teen-sensation, Justin Bieber. Several other teen/tween sites have posted the video on their sites, including the popular KIDZBOP (http://www.kidzbop.com).

Marshall’s video and song has caught the attention of former Steelers great, Jerome Bettis. Bettis commented on the video, “Great Song!” (http://www.facebook.com/thebus36). Current Steelers wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders “liked” the video when he viewed it on his Facebook page.

Says Marshall, “I would love to perform my song at the Steelers victory parade after they win their 7th Lombardi trophy!” She goes on to say that she would also love to perform the national anthem at a Steelers home game in the future. Says Dad, “As if it wasn’t already exciting enough having my Steelers in the Super Bowl, this song has made it that much more fun!”
