Spinks shuns family fighting prowess for wealth building.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 29, 2004

The Spinks clan is known throughout the world for its fighting and boxing capabilities. Corey Spinks is the latest fighter in the family line of great fighters. Gerard Spinks is a fighter; however in a different sense of the word.

Gerard describes growing up in the Spinks family as fun, exciting, financially challenging, and very humbling. Although he received a full scholarship to play college football as a quarterback, this version of the Spinks’ decided that his battles were outside of the ring and in the business world.

Gerard Spinks is a self described “serial entrepreneur”. He fights everyday to win business and grow his personal empire. He runs a real estate investment business, is the author of the best selling “How To Be Rich, Nigga” series of money educational books for ghetto youth, and manages a software development company.

Gerard Spinks loves what his family has created and admires the legacy of the Spinks name. He wants that legacy to transfer over into the entrepreneurial world and sees himself as a business fighter. “Boxing is what I originally loved as I watched Michael and Leon win the Olympics as a kid. I wanted to be just like them and would pretend to box and ask my moms to box all the time. I wanted to fight so badly that I would sometimes go search for a fight in my neighborhood with so-called neighborhood thugs.”

Gerard Spinks would eventually change his whole life around after playing football at The University of Texas Arlington. He was a standout quarterback and nearly went on to play professional football. After being told repeatedly that he wasn’t tall enough to play quarterback, he settled on becoming driven to fight corporate battles and excel as a software engineer and company owner in the Silicon Valley, CA.

He signed up clients including Cisco Systems, Oracle, SEGA, Lucas Arts and Film, Verizon Wireless, and Logitech Corporation. He made millions of dollars in income in the Silicon Valley and is now a prominent author and writer of the “How To Be Rich, Nigga” book series.

“I have to fight each and everyday to excel and perform well in the business world. My drive is wealth, plain and simple, no apologies. I seek financial, spiritual, and emotional wealth. I wish to grow my businesses and amass millions of dollars to pass on to family members and help others achieve wealth along the way.”

Highlight Videos Preserve the Past for the Future

(PRWEB) September 13, 2004

In towns all across America, local high school football is a passionate affair shared by the entire community but some of the best moments of that experience are being discarded because they are thought to have no future value.

As part of the overall game plan, most coaches video tape their games and review them later to analyze the plays and gain insight into their team’s performance. These tapes are for the most part erased after the season is over to be re-used during the next season. In some cases they are just erased and re-used on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, these tapes probably contain “once in a lifetime moments” that are gone forever and a valuable educational resource is lost.

All Sports Videos.com (ASV) http://www.allsportsvideos.com provides archival service that provides a entertaining way of preserving the past for the future by extracting the most exciting moments from game tapes and setting the action against a high energy soundtrack then delivering them on DVD or VHS tape. The tapes or DVDs are in turn viewed during banquets and kept as mementos by the players and the coach. A master copy can be archived by the school to refer to in the future.

Besides it’s entertainment value, highlight tapes also provide a valuable historic resource for developing new talent and can be an effective morale booster and inspiring educational tool. Who wouldn’t like to sit down and watch a Barry Sanders’ high school football highlight tape? Was he that good back then? Or did a coach see the latent talent and nurture it?

Tom Conner, the owner of ASV and a veteran documentarian and music producer, got the idea from his son Andrew who was on his high school wrestling team at John Glen High School in Westland, Michigan. He was also taking a video-editing course at John Glen’s Voctech High School.

“Drew shows up one day with this highlight video he put together for his wrestling team’s banquet and it blew my mind. At first I thought is was some kind of ESPN music video but realized within a minute or two that it wasn’t because I saw Drew in it.” Conner said.

The pair decided to establish a new imprint through the senior Conner’s company, TCL Communications, Inc and All Sports Videos.com (ASV) was born in 2002 when the pair launched a website http://www.allsportsvideos.com offering their services for the sole purpose of creating highlight videos for high schools sports.

The production cost for a highlight video varies between $ 300.00 for a short version about 10 minutes or less in length to $ 750.00 for a 30 minute long version. Even at these low prices, schools sometimes have funding issues because sports budgets are tight however; there are some unique ways to finance a highlight video. Sponsorships by local businesses or community boosters are one way. The sponsor pays the cost of editing in exchange for a screen credit and perhaps a message or inclusion of his or her own TV spot.

ASV most recently completed a highlight video for the St Augustine Wolves the 2003 Texas State Champions.

All Sports Videos.com (http://www.allsportsvideos.com) is a brand name owned by TCL Communications, Inc of Howell, MI 48843.

Bonus Hunting Season – Beware of Scam Sports Betting Websites Out to Steal Players Money!

Willemstad, Curacao (PRWEB) September 19, 2004

SportsbookReview.com (SBR) warns online sports bettors of outright Scam Operations that open up around football season. These deposit only sportsbooks make millions of dollars doing whatever it takes to gets players to make a deposit with no intention of ever making pay-outs.

Most sign-ups at online sports betting sites occur during the first few weeks of football season. Bonuses are created to attract new business. Since the bonus itself is attractive enough to entice a bettor to make a deposit with any given book, these perks are commonly used by scam operations as well. It’s difficult to know the difference between a legitimate sportsbook trying to generate new business and a scam sportsbook trying to lure unaware players.

But according to a popular players advocate website, there is a way to detect if a sports betting website is out to steal your money. “If a cash sign-up bonus is over 25%, or you receive a high-pressure call requiring an immediate deposit, or you can’t find an address or phone number anywhere on the site, consider them suspect and do more research before making a deposit.” says Bill Dozer, Analyst for SportsbookReview.com

He adds that scam websites are part of the Internet industry that affects all online users. “The safe bet is to do research before sending your money through cyber-space.” says Mr. Dozer. SportsbookReview.com has a Scam Alert and Rating Guide to help players distinguish between the good and the bad online sports betting websites.

A victim of the seemingly scam operation BetCSI.com (SBR Rated F), who was lured by a cold-call offering a 40% bonus, made the following statement:

“I have been trying to get my money for about 3+ weeks, and all I get is a song and dance… The main guy is named Roy Rameriz and I sent them $ 1500 and got a $ 600 bonus, I turned the account over the required 6 times and got my balance up to over $ 3,000. Just for the heck of it I requested $ 1,000 to see if in fact they do pay out. Much to my dismay, I have not received a penny and since have requested my whole $ 3,200 to be sent to me…”

Southern California tops the inaugural Internet Writers and Radio Broadcasters College Football Poll

(PRWEB) September 22, 2004

Southern California is the number one team in the inaugural Internet Writer’s and Radio Broadcaster’s Poll. The Trojans racked up half of the first place votes and was the only team to be named to the top five on every ballot.

The Oklahoma Sooners finished second in the poll followed by the Miami Hurricanes. SEC teams Georgia and Tennessee round out the top five

Texas starts the second five with Ohio State right behind. The Auburn Tigers, off their strong performance against LSU, come in at eighth. California and Virginia round out the top ten in a tie for ninth.

West Virginia and Utah slot in at tenth and eleventh followed by the Florida State Seminoles. The Big Ten gets its second team in the poll at number fourteen with Purdue. Pat Hill’s Fresno State Bulldogs round out the top fifteen.

The LSU Tigers and Florida Gators are the SEC’s 4th and 5th teams and Nos. 16 and 17 followed by the Big Ten’s 2nd and 3rd teams Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Boise State Broncos finish up the top twenty.

Michigan comes in at number twenty with Oklahoma State right behind. Riding the momentum of the big win against Iowa, Arizona State takes the 23rd slot followed by the Louisville Cardinals. The last team in the top twenty-five is the 3-0 Boston College

Eagles.

Only the top five teams (USC, Oklahoma, Miami, Georgia, and Tennessee) received top five votes from at least half of all voters. USC receieved ten first place votes, Oklahoma had seven, Miami had two, and Georgia received the final one.

Maryland, Virginia Tech, Southern Miss, Iowa, and Colorado just missed out on making the top twenty five.

The Internet Writer’s and Radio Broadcaster’s Poll is comprised of voters from across the nation who are either free-lance writers, work for alternative media, or are radio broadcasters. The poll is designed to give votes to people who get to watch more than one or two games per weekend (AP beat writers) and have no systematic bias (coaches). We believe it is the most accurate of the polls when it comes to evaluating teams from the vantage point of actually watching the teams play multiple times against different opponents in varying situations. In a nutshell, the jobs that writers and coaches have actually impair their ability to evaluate all teams fairly. Our voters don’t have that problem. The poll will be released every Tuesday morning.
